What inspired you to go into content creation?

I’ve always had a passion for storytelling, even as a child. I can remember listening to my great grandmother share stories about her life growing up, the things she had done and the memories that she made within her lifetime. I decided then and there that I wanted to be the collector of memories for all and, with pen and paper in hand, I’d share them with the world.

What topics do you like writing about the most?

I absolutely love writing human interest stories. There’s just something about sitting down with someone, hearing their story, putting pen to paper and bringing their story to life.

Outside of the office, how do you spend your time?

When I’m not crafting content for our clients, I’m busy writing the story of my own life with my daughter Skylar along for the ride. For the past two years, I’ve been chipping away at my unspoken bucket list that feeds my need for adventure and let me tell you, it’s been a fun ride so far!

Tell us more about these adventures! What’s your favorite so far?

My favorite adventure thus far has been zip lining at a local adventure park! While I don’t have a fear of heights, the idea of gliding hundreds of feet in the air while being suspended on a metal rope sounds unsettling to say the least. But, much to my surprise, it was the most exhilarating and freeing experience. Will Smith said it best – “on the other side of your maximum fear are the best things in life.”

You mentioned that you are a mom. Any tips you would give to moms out there for balancing work and life?

The best advice that I could give moms out there is to make space for yourself in everything that you do. I think that as moms, we can often get stuck in what we all call “mommy mode,” and sometimes (really, more often than we’re all willing to admit) that means forgetting about our own happiness and peace of mind. Make space for yourself – figure out what makes you happy outside of your mom bubble; discover new hobbies; pursue new adventures; and uncover untapped personal happiness.

Wait – there’s more! The life of a working mom can best be described as organized chaos with a little bit of “expect the unexpected” sprinkled in. The list of to-do’s is never ending, but just take things one day at a time. I like to say, ‘you can only do what you can do, when you can do it.’ So, try not to stretch yourself too thin. Take a deep breath and take things – everything – one day at a time.

What is one word or phrase that you live by?

“You don’t really need that comma there, do you?”

What TV, movie or book character would you be and why?

I actually had the opportunity to play myself as a contestant on Peacock’s reality TV show “The Traitors.” It was a fun competition series filled with mystery, mayhem and money … lots and lots of money which, spoiler alert, I didn’t win. But I made memories to last a lifetime.
