Account Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manages client account relationships and all associated tasks, including project scoping, strategic planning, project management and more
  • Responsible for continuously nurturing/growing client relationships through regular, timely communication, weekly calls and monthly in-person meetings
  • Maintains account service standards, including renewal and sales opportunities and supports billing integrity via regular communication with bookkeeping department
  • Responsible for developing, planning and executing creative projects and marketing programs designed to support and enhance internal and external client business objectives
  • Confident in developing a strategic approach to client projects and setting goals for measurable results
  • Manages client expectations by setting clear deliverables and completing projects on-time that consistently meet and exceed client expectations
  • Skilled in developing and leading new business pitches
  • Confident in executing a large percentage of client work independently
  • Skilled in project management and effective at delegation, comfortable and confident working on teams
  • Builds relationship through engagement with the Houston business community and attendance at industry functions and events

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in marketing or advertising, agency experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proven expertise in traditional and digital marketing best practices
  • Direct client interaction experience and ability to present and discuss marketing/creative concepts
  • Strong ability to independently prioritize work based on short- and long-term company goals
  • Ability to respond nimbly to company/client needs without losing big picture focus
  • Experience working with and managing vendors
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with clients and partner groups
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work on multiple tasks with a variety of clients and team members
  • Must be self-motivated and able to take action without direction
  • Must be flexible and able to handle quick turnaround asks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with clients in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing or related industry
  • Experience in Financial Services industry
  • Experience working with Hubspot CRM and Marketing Hub
  • Asana project management software

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of graphic standards for print, digital and social media implementation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, comfortable working in PowerPoint
