We are excited to introduce the newest addition to the Raven Creative Team, Aditya Shah. As a Graphic Designer for Raven Creative, Aditya finds new ways to create compelling social media graphics, ad campaigns, and marketing materials for our clients and the Raven Creative brand. Aditya graduated from The Art Institute of Houston with a degree in Fashion Design but quickly realized his passion for Digital Design. No matter the industry he’s in, his drive is to create a more beautiful world through design.
Outside of the office, Aditya enjoys photography, collecting sneakers, and going to as many coffee shops as possible (his favorite being Blue Bottle Coffee in Brooklyn, New York). We recently sat down with him to learn about what ultimately led to his Graphic Design career at Raven Creative and this is what he had to say:
Q&A With Aditya Shah, Design Associate
Where do you look for design inspiration the most?
“I generally observe the design work I encounter in everyday life and take mental notes of things I like and dislike. Instagram also provides inspiration from a wide variety of subjects that I save to collections to refer to later.”
What are some of your favorite designers or brands?
“Initially, when I first started learning about design, I got really into architecture. Some of my favorites include Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Charles Eames, and, in more modern times, Bjarke Ingel. When it comes to my design work, I really appreciate graphics that play with different typefaces and icons, so I have found a lot of inspiration in Paula Scher’s designs.”
What sparked your interest in the job at Raven Creative?
“One of the first things I noticed when I was browsing through the Raven Creative website was that it looked like a small but very talented team. I felt like that would provide for a more hands-on work environment, giving me the chance to work closely with everyone and learn about different parts of the design process from start to finish.”
Do you think your undergrad studies left you well-prepared to take on your role?
“I believe that my design-based education prepared me well for the position, mainly from a skillset standpoint. I think a lot of software that I worked with in school and the projects that I completed readied me for the work I am currently doing. That being said, I also think that the work ethic and discipline you bring to the table is equally important. I’m excited to learn and expand my skillset as part of the Raven Creative team.”
With many creative projects in full-swing, we are excited to see the ways Aditya’s fresh design perspective helps contribute to the success of our clients.
