Orchestrating Alignment at Scale
Thirty-plus event hosts. No shared brand. No central platform. The challenge was bringing Houston’s diverse energy innovation community together under one compelling identity while building the digital infrastructure to make it discoverable — and creating enough momentum to attract global investors and industry leaders to a first-of-its-kind week.
Their upfront work engaging with the partners, researching the work to date, and understanding the target audience is what allowed them to build something that hit the mark on all fronts. It was a very positive experience overall.

Our approach was three-fold: Create a scalable, startup-forward brand that could unify diverse stakeholders, attract global participation, and establish the foundation for an annual marquee week.
Unify the Experience — Developed a modular brand identity and visual toolkit that allowed each event to maintain its distinct character while clearly connecting to the larger story — building recognition and equity across every touchpoint.
Build the Platform — Launched a responsive digital hub that transformed 30+ independent events into one discoverable, filterable experience — designed to scale as the week grows.
Amplify the Message — Deployed integrated content across social, email, and physical channels to build momentum and establish HECSW as a credible, well-organized week from day one.
Together, these strategies created a cohesive brand experience across every touchpoint — digital and physical — with a foundation built to scale year after year.

In its debut year, Houston Energy + Climate Startup Week drew 1,400+ attendees, 128 startups, and 107 industry leaders — proof that the brand and platform delivered. The creative system didn’t just support the week; it elevated it — building instant credibility, driving sustained engagement, and creating cohesion across 30+ independent events.
The takeaway: when the stakes are high and visibility matters, a unified brand isn’t just nice to have — it’s what turns coordination into momentum and first-time efforts into lasting platforms.
